Don’t let summer pass you by without trying this Dragon Fruit Lemonade! Refreshing and no added sugars!

Sometimes it’s hard to find a refreshing drink that doesn’t have a ton of added sugars. As we all know, when you make them homemade you can control what goes in there. Which also means you know exactly what the ingredients are. 

By making fruit drinks, you get the natural sugar from the fruit, and oftentimes do not need to add additional sweeteners.

If you are on Weight Watchers, you can find the points in the recipe card. However, we are considering this one a zero-point drink. Some people choose to count points for blended fruits, this is totally your choice and there’s no right or wrong way.

What You Need To Make Dragon Fruit Lemonade 

Dragonfruit 

Water

Lemon juice 

Ice

How to Make Lemonade Out Of Dragon Fruit 

Cut the dragon fruit in half and scoop out the pulp and place it in a blender.

Then add the juice from the two lemons. Pour in the water and ice. 

Blend until the lemonade is mixed well. 

As we mentioned before, you shouldn’t need any sugar but if you really find it necessary you can add some. 

This recipe makes 2 eight-ounce glasses of dragon fruit lemonade.

Tips for Making 

You can make a double batch with no problem by just doubling the ingredients. Just be sure you don’t overfill your blender. 

Dragon Fruit Season 

Typically fresh dragon fruit is available from June thru September, however, there are some varieties that produce through the fall and winter.

Can You Make This Into a Smoothie? 

Yes! To make a dragon fruit smoothie use 2 cups of unsweetened vanilla almond milk instead of the water and add some vanilla protein. Combine all of the ingredients in the blender and blend until smooth!

Equipment

  • Blender

Ingredients

  • 1 Dragon Fruit
  • 2 lemons juiced
  • 2 Cups Water
  • Ice
  • 2 Tablespoons of Sugar or sweetner of choice Optional

Instructions

  • Cut the dragon fruit and add flesh to the blend.
  • Add the water and ice.
  • Squeeze out the juice of the two lemons.
  • Blend until ingredients are combined.
