We have been eating lots of beans! I just add chicken to mine if I really want it, but some recipes are so delicious, filling, and protein-packed that I don’t need to add it. This Simple Black Bean Chili Recipe is one of those recipes. The chili – with or without chicken – is still 0 SmartPoints on the new Freestyle plan!
Simple Black Bean Chili Recipe
I love chili, probably a little too much. I usually put it in the Crock Pot but sometimes I’ll do a recipe like this where you can just dump it all, stir, and EAT.
Ingredients
2 cans black beans
1 jar mild salsa
1/3 cup vegetable stock
heat to taste (I used habanero seasoning)
garlic to taste (I added 1/2 tbsp)
dash of cumin
parsley for garnish
This recipe serves 10, and is 0 SmartPoints on the Blue and Purple Plan, 2 points on the Green Plan. Add other veggies and/or chicken if you want it to be even more filling without adding points.
Directions for Simple Black Bean Chili Recipe
Dump all ingredients in a large pot.
Cook on 15 minutes on med-high, stirring often.
Chili is great for the fall, which can’t get here soon enough in Arizona! We’re waiting as patiently as we can! The weather has finally cooled down (to the 90s), and the evenings have been high 80s, so no complaints at all! Would love to hear about the weather in your neck of the woods. Weight Watchers Simple Black Bean Chili
Ingredients
- 2 Cans Black Beans
- 1 Jar Mild Salsa
- 1/3 C. Vegetable Stock
- Heat to Taste Habanero Seasoning, for example
- Garlic to Taste approximately 1/2 tablespoon
- Dash of Cumin
- Parsley for Garnish
Instructions
- Dump all ingredients in a large pot.
- Cook on 15 minutes on med-high, stirring often.
- Serve garnished with parsley. Enjoy!
