Chia seeds slow down digestion and are high in fiber so they’ll keep you regular! Chia seeds are packed with omega-3 fatty acids, which improves your brain power. :) They are also a great source of protein… perfect for those “Where do you get your protein?” questions that us vegetarians get way too often.
Strawberry Chia Seed Smoothie
My friend put this recipe together for me. I love using chia seeds for everything I can, but sometimes the texture is just plain weird. So, starting off with putting them in a smoothie is your best bet!
Ingredients:
1 cup of strawberries (cut up )
1 tablespoon of chia seeds
1 cup of ice
1/4 cup of water or coconut milk
optional: 1 tablespoon coconut flour
Directions:
First, start by adding the ice to the blender. Then add in your chia seeds, strawberries, and water.
Mix in your blender for about 20 seconds.
Blend until it’s a smoothie texture and pour and enjoy!
If you want it to be sweeter, can add a table spoon of raw sugar as well or whipping cream for a rich taste.

Ingredients
- 1 C. Strawberries cut into pieces
- 1 Tbsp. Chia Seeds
- 1 C. Ice
- 1/4 C. Water or Coconut Milk
- 1 Tbsp. Coconut Flour Optional

- Add chia seeds, strawberries, and water to blender.
- Mix in blender for about 20 seconds.
- Blend until it’s a smoothie texture.
- For added sweetness, add a table spoon of raw sugar, whipping cream for a rich taste.
- Pour and Enjoy!
