In some severe cases, it could even trigger fever. The fever can range from mild to higher levels. Stomach bloating is the easiest to detect when it comes to IBS. With proper medication, bloating becomes more manageable for IBS patients. For example, the best way to get rid of bloating is to increase fiber in your food and get rid of soda and chewing gum.

3. Diarrhea & Constipation

Even though Diarrhea & Constipation don't occur at once, IBS diseases can make it happen. But most of the time, the patient develops diarrhea and has to go to the toilet more often. It's an early sign which should be noted.

When it comes to constipation, it could create opposite effects. The patient will feel difficulties in processing the foods. Plus, they will start having issues emptying your bowel. If someone has constipation and other signs, it's most likely the person is building IBS.

4. Lethargy

As the IBS targets the patient's intestine, it creates lethargy. It is also called “laziness.” The patient will feel short of breath while doing any moderate task. As a result, the patient's energy level will start getting lower.

With damage in the digestive system, the food won't proceed normally. As a result, your body can't get the most out of the food. These early symptoms are tough to detect. But it's one of the early signs of developing IBS. So while you detect the symptom, eat nutritious veggies and fruits.

5. Heartburn

In simple words, heartburn is a pain around the chest area. It even worsens when the patient tries to lie down or bend over. This is why it's best to take proper revealing actions when the patient is feeling heartburn.

While the patient is experiencing heartburn, it may also result in a sour feeling in the mouth. In some rare cases, the patient can even start vomiting at regular intervals. Sometimes the heartburn effect can get worse if actions are not taken.

How to Diagnose IBS

With the listed early symptoms, detecting IBS has become easier. But how to diagnose a typical IBS? Well, to diagnose IBS, you need to do some medical checkups. After the initial checkup, the patient will be told about the current condition.

The reason behind the initial checkup is to avoid the possibility of other diseases. Once your doctor is sure about the IBS, you will get proper guidelines on the diagnosis. The doctor might insist on a blood sample to better understand IBS.
