Who wouldn’t LOVE some Oreo Pancakes? When Gracelynn and I went to Chicago last week, we ate at a place called Yolk. If you are in the area and haven’t had a chance to check it out, it’s a must! The prices aren’t bad, and the food is very unique and delicious. I had a spinach and mushroom omelet, and Grace had Oreo pancakes. I knew I had to recreate the recipe for the other kids as soon as I got home. I must warn you, though, you will need milk to drink with these pancakes!
Oreo Pancakes Recipe
Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups flour
1 1/4 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 tablespoons sugar
1 3/4 cups milk
1 large egg
3 tablespoons butter, melted
8 double-stuffed Oreo cookies , crumbled (more for topping)
powdered sugar (for topping)
syrup (for topping)
Directions:
Mix together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a small bowl.
Mix the milk and egg in a large bowl. Stir in melted butter. Add flour mixture to egg mixture slowly. Stir until almost all lumps are gone.
Stir in crumbled Oreos. Let batter sit for at least 5 minutes before using.
Cook pancakes as usual. Top with syrup, more crumbled Oreos, and powdered sugar – or better yet, cream cheese icing.
This Oreo pancakes recipe is going to put you into a sugar-induced coma, so only eat one or two of them. :)
We LOVE these Oreo Pancakes and hope that you do, too!
