Throw Together Black Bean Burgers

These quick and versatile black bean burgers are great for meat-free meal nights!

Ingredients

  • 3 C. Black Beans fresh or canned
  • 1 1/2 C. Oats pulsed
  • 1 C. Peas or Vegetable of Choice, fresh, canned, or frozen
  • 2 Tbsp. Olive Oil
  • 1/2 C. Onions diced
  • 2 Cloves Garlic
  • Seasonings of choice cayenne pepper, salt, etc

Instructions

  • Combine olive oil, onions, and other seasonings in a pan and saute until onions are soft.
  • Add in black beans and heat just for a few minutes, until all ingredients are warm.
  • In a bowl, combine oats (or breadcrumbs) , peas, and the heated beans.
  • Add more oats, if needed, so you can form it into patties.
  • Bake patties at 350* degrees F. for 30 minutes (turning over after 15).
  • Serve warm with your preferred hamburger toppings. Enjoy!
