Finding Dory Craft
Materials
- Toilet paper or paper towel rolls: We use Charmin and Bounty products sponsored so that's what we had.
- scissors
- glue Elmer's worked fine
- acrylic paint in: blue, yellow, black, white, orange, and green
- googly eyes
- paint brush
Instructions
Cut Rolls:
- Using scissors, cut your toilet paper rolls about 1/2″ wide. One toilet paper roll will yield about six sections.
To make Dory:
- You will use 7 small pieces/sections of toilet paper roll. (2 rolls)
- Lay three sections together and affix with glue.
- Cut two sections and place on each end to create the body. Affix with glue.
- Fold a section in half to create a tail. Attach to one end with glue.
- Make the top fin by cutting a section apart and then off completely. Reserve the other piece. Bend and shape the top fin and attach with glue.
- Use the reserved piece to create a rigid C shape for the eyes. You may need to trim to get it to fit properly. Attach with glue.
- Cut small fins out of a larger piece of roll and attach with glue. Let dry completely.
- Paint! If you spill the paint, be sure to grab some Bounty ;)
- Glue on eyes.

To make Dory's BFF Nemo:
- You will use 6 small pieces/sections of toilet paper roll (1 roll)
- Using two sections, glue them together, one on top of the other. Cut two sections open and place on each end to create the body. Affix with glue. Add tail just as you did for dory, folding in half, and gluing.
- Cut a small rigid C shape for the eyes. Affix with glue. Cut one large and one small fin and affix with glue. Let dry completely.
- Paint!
- Glue on eyes
- Love him!
To make the “weed”
- Glue together three sections of toilet paper roll. Let dry and paint green.
