Instant Pot Apple Butter

This recipe makes 32 servings. A serving size is 2 tablespoons.

  • 5 lbs of apples cored and sliced
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 tsp ground cloves
  • 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1 tbsp cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup water


  • Place apple slices into Instant Pot liner
  • Sprinkle brown sugar and spices over apples
  • Pour apple cider vinegar, vanilla extract, and water over the top
  • Stir lightly
  • Lock lid onto Instant Pot and set vent to sealing
  • Cook on manual high pressure for 1 hour
  • When Instant Pot beeps, release pressure and remove lid
  • Use an immersion blender to puree apples
  • Let cool and then place in an air tight container for up to 3 weeks
