Everyone is freaking out, understandably so… Weight Watchers is CHANGING! GASP! Change isn't always bad, but it's normal to be anxious about it at first. From what I've read and watched, it seems Weight Watchers isn't changing a whole lot for most of us. The majority of WW users have always focused on overall health and wellness rather than a quick crash diet or eliminating entire food groups or macros. That is why it works so well! There are going to be a few changes though, and I think you'll ALL agree they're for the better.

Weight Watchers Changes to Wellness that Works

Weight Watchers is no longer just focusing on weight, but putting everyone on a path towards overall wellness. This is something we've talked about in the Facebook group a lot. Moving more, making better food choices, that's what Weight Watchers has always been about for me!

“We can be so much more” – Mindy Grossman, Weight Watchers CEO

For more than 50 years, Weight Watchers has always been a tool to help us lose weight and feel great. So while WW is evolving, it's not changing a whole lot. Changing from weight to wellness makes Weight Watchers more like a lifestyle rather than a diet. WW aims to be your partner, giving you access to technology and support along your journey.

Weight Watchers – now Wellness That Works – teaches healthy habits for better eating, whether you want to lose weight or not!

Wellness That Works is also teaming up with Headspace (a mindfulness app) to help you eat better, move better, and have your mind support your wellness journey. Original content will be launched in your WW app.

FitPoints 2.0 is launching – taking the science that has worked in food and applying it to exercise. I am intrigued to find out exactly what this means.

Wellness Wins is also launching! You get rewarded for the efforts you take towards getting healthy. This is probably the most exciting part for me, as I do really well with rewards programs.

Overall it seems like the Weight Watchers we know and love isn't changing much, but the changes they're making are definitely positive and I can't wait to see where they take us! Read more about the changes.

Let me know how you feel about the WW changes in the comments below!

I am a wife, mother of two, entrepreneur and life style blogger. I am also the proud owner of a pug named Roxy and a Saint Bernard named Macie. I grew up in sunny California and today I go back and forth between Arizona and Montana. I love the clothing brand "Life is Good" and I wear it with pride. One day soon I really hope to own some chickens!!

  1. I love free style program. I have lost 63 pounds on it since January 2018. Hit my goal in April. Anxious to see the new program.

  2. I want to cancel. Cannot figure out how. Not sure what i signed up for

  3. I successfully lost weight on Smart Points. Was completely derailed with Freestyle. I slowly gained weight back and finally quit WW because I was literally giving them my money every month for nothing. Became so depressed. Wish they would have let people continue to use the SP plan. I was able to maintain certain indulgence foods that went out the window with Freefall (my word for Freestyle). I’ve gained back 20 of the 30 pounds I lost. I am thinking of trying WW again, but really hesitant because of Freestyle. Super happy for those who lost with Freestyle, but so many who were on SP completely stalled.

    1. I lost over 100 pounds on Smart Points and now slowly gaining back with Freestyle. Now they have changed the Fit points so my 10,000 steps only count for 7 fit points.

  4. As long as the changes are only evident on the app, I won’t see them. I do not have a phone or a tablet on which I can use the app. Leave me out and I will quit paying you every month, WW. What’s wrong with using it on the website on Windows?

  5. Wow! I loved your post. Keep it up.

  6. I was successful with smart points, was losing weight, when freestyle was introduced I lost the momentum. Ended up leaving weight watchers, I dont think this is a good move, weight watchers IS about weight loss!

  7. Love freestyle! Lost 16 pounds on it!! Love the app too. Use it everyday. Can’t wait to see the newest zero point foods

  8. I signed up and so confused I was told I only have the digital can’t ask a question in the store or pay some more, can’t cancel must pay us any way. Never lost a pound Sad WW needs to stop taking people money, people that are confused and emotional might be fighting a depression, because they want to lose weight. If a person signed up $20.00 deserves a phone call ask me do I understand do I need any help show me how things work what I have to look forward to other that you taking my money, or telling me what I owe you. Very very unhappy
