Weight Watchers Friendly Bread Bowl Using 2 Ingredient Dough – 3 SP

I am IN LOVE with Panera's bread bowls, but they're like 28934723 points, so I have been on the hunt for a lower point alternative that doesn't taste like crap. Finally found it! These bread bowls are PERFECT for soups or dips!!

Weight Watchers Bread Bowl

This is not JUST 2 ingredient dough. We added a few extra ingredients. The dough is the base of the recipe though. :)  If you are looking for a soup recipe for your bread bowl try this yummy broccoli and cheese, it's delicious!!

Weight Watchers Bread Bowl

Ingredients

3 cups self-rising flour
3 cups Fage nonfat Greek yogurt
1 tablespoon baking powder
seasonings of choice (I would use garlic)
2 eggs for eggwash

Dough needed into a ball on white counter

Knead the dough. Shape into the size you prefer (3 points for 3 ounces of dough), on a cookie sheet lined with a silicone mat or parchment paper.

Egg wash the bread bowls, top with garlic powder or everything but the bagel seasoning.

Bake at 350* for 45 minutes to an hour. Once the bread starts to brown, use a toothpick to see if the inside is done.

  1. How did you get it into a bowl shape? Thanks.

    1. It’s just a ball. Then you cut out the top after it cooks. :)

  2. How many bread bowls does this recipe make?

  3. I’m confused about the points. The whole recipe makes 4? If the recipe has 3 cups of flour how does that work out to 3 points a bowl? Am I missing something?

    1. 3 points for 3 ounces of dough. Weigh it out.

  4. Do you have to hollow out the balls after you make them? If so approximately how much do you take out? (I will adjust the weight so that I make them a little bigger and calculate the points after I remove some bread). It is raining here and we are having these tonight!

    1. I hollow them out after they are baked but then use that part for dipping! :) So it is the same points. If that makes sense.

  5. I have made the 2 ingredient dough but it doesnt rise like I think it should. any tips? should i let it sit for a bit before baking?
