With the busy season gearing back up and activities kicking into high hear there are just some days you don't want to have to think about dinner. Mostly Made is a new take on meal service kits. There's no subscription, no prep. Your “fillings” arrive fresh and you just add the fixings. It's quick, simple, and fast. They are shipped with a company that specializes in parishable foods via 3-day shipping. They are packed with dry ice in a cooler type packing to keep them fresh for you.

Enchilada Filling

Mostly Made

Each case comes with 5 packs of filling. Each pack contains 22oz. or 4-6 servings so you get plenty of bang for your buck.  The Enchilada filling is made up of chicken, tomatoes, onion, black beans, peppers, quinoa, and seasonings. For traditional enchiladas, you just provide tortillas, sauce, and cheese and heat them up. SO easy. What is great is that you don't necessarily have to make enchiladas. This filling is delicious with stuffed peppers, tacos, and nachos as well.

The flavor of the Mostly Made filling itself was on p0int. The veggies and spices gave it a light Tex-Mex flavor that was easy to use in various dishes. It's not too spicy on its own, letting you add as much as you want. It makes healthy meals that fill us up, which I love. One serving size is about 2/3 of a cup and that makes 3 enchiladas. That serving size has 130 calories and comes to about 3 SmartPoints for Weight Watchers.

Stack Them Up

Mostly Made

Each pack is compact and rectangular. Not everyone wants the same thing every day of the week, but the packaging makes them easy to store. Just stack up the ones you don't want to use right away in the freezer. They can be refrigerated for up to 7 days, but they are good for 18 months in the freezer. When you are ready to use a pack you can place it in the fridge overnight, pop the unopened plastic sleeve in hot water for 10 minutes, or defrost in the microwave for 2 minutes. It should be defrosted and ready to use.

The boxes themselves also easily fit in most fridges or freezers and can be stacked as well. It's easy to pop a whole box in a chest freezer to keep them together.

Lasagna Filling

The lasagna filling is perfect for spaghetti, homemade calzones, minestrone soup, and of course lasagna. It's made up of Italian sausage, Organic Onion, Italian Chopped Tomatoes (Chopped Tomatoes, Tomato Puree), Mushrooms, Organic Zucchini, Green Bell Pepper, Quinoa. and Italian style seasonings. Just toss in your favorite pasta sauce, noddle and cheese and dinner is ready.

Now those who know us know that we don't eat pork, so we skipped trying this filling ourselves and passed them on to some friends. They assured us the Lasagna filling was delicious. The flavors were well balanced and easily adaptable to whatever they wanted to make with it. If you follow Weight Watchers you're looking at 3 SmartPoints per serving of the filling.

Random Acts of Casseroles

Another wonderful thing about Mostly Made is that they partner with the Ronald McDonald House – Upper Midwest to provide meals to families staying there while their loved one is in the hospital. For every case you buy from or Amazon, they donate one serving to this home away from home for families in need. Jillian, the founder of Mostly Made, knows firsthand how stressful those times can be. She provided meals for her sister while she was being treated for breast cancer. Now they are excited to help out others going through the same thing.

Final Thoughts

Mostly Made makes it quick and easy to put together a healthy meal for the whole family. Those who use Weight Watchers said these fillings can be assembled into dinners that are only a few points! These are great for any busy person. For new parents to busy singles, you can still have healthy meals in a fraction of the time. Mix and match fillings in a box to have a variety of meals ready to go. Remember, Mostly Made products are sold at and on Amazon.
