Everyone knows that vertical images do best on Pinterest. With the tests I've done, I've noticed that vertical images with text overlays do best. Also, if you've been blogging for any amount of time, you've heard of Ahalogy and hopefully have been accepted into their network! My friend Taylor wrote a post on how to use Ahalogy if you're just getting started. UPDATE 2017: I no longer recommend Ahalogy for many reasons, but you can still use PicMonkey and Tailwind to grow your blog in amazing ways!

Log into Ahalogy. In the bottom left-hand corner, you'll see a plus sign (+). Click the plus sign and a box will pop up for you to upload your image.

Once your image is uploaded, it takes you directly to Picmonkey where you can add text, rotate the image so it's vertical, or edit it in any way you normally would with Picmonkey.

After your image is edited, you'll need to add the URL of the blog post, the description, and choose which board(s) you want it to be pinned to.

It's pretty simple, and a great way to get your blog posts moving with traffic right away as SOON as you publish them! When you're tweeting, Facebooking, etc make sure you're loading your pins into Ahalogy so they will get the ball rolling on traffic.
