How to SEO a Blog Post

NOTE: The URL should match my post, but it doesn't, because I didn't work on the SEO until AFTER the link was shared and I didn't want to have a broken link.

Step 1: Install an SEO plugin.

Download the Yoast SEO plugin for FREE.

Step 2: Upload an image and edit the text.

Use your keywords in the image text! Keep it simple, but not TOO simple. A good one would be “diy halloween costumes”. Too simple would be “halloween costumes”.

Step 3: Make it green! Or at least yellow.

With the Yoast SEO plugin, it will tell you what you're doing wrong. I love it! ALL of your posts need to be at least a yellow. Make them green when possible. Don't publish one that is red! Work on it until it's at least yellow.

Step 4: SEO the rest of your post. Use different keywords to get more incoming searches.

Step 5: Keep working!!

If you have any questions, ask in the group! Hopefully some of the other RandomBloggers can help you out if I can't. :)

NOTE: I'm not an expert at SEO. This is just SEO for images and has helped my blog get lots of search engine hits.
