Easy Tuna Steak

This light and flaky tuna steak is a treat!!

Yields: 4 servings

  • 4 (three ounce)Tuna Steaks
  • Sea Salt
  • Pepper or other seasonings of choice

Rub sea salt and red pepper flakes or your seasoning of choice on tuna steaks (I also like to use fresh dill and lime juice)

Place steaks on a tray in your Instant Pot

Put 1/2 cup water in bottom of Instant Pot

Set cook time on manual or steam for 3 minutes, until the meat is cooked, but pink in the middle.

If you don't like pink meat, cook it a minute longer

NOTE: Cook longer for well-done. Tuna gets flakier as it cooks

Serve with favorite side dish. Enjoy!

  1. WOW I eat and love most seafood, ut have not tried tuna yet…I will be now. It reminds me of salmon. If you liked this then I bet you would love teryaki salmon. Thanks for this

  2. I really love a nice tuna steak! It is SO much different than the tuna in a can. I think that is why some are scared to try it because of their distaste for canned tuna. It’s very tasty with a bit of grated ginger and lemon on it before putting it in the pan.

        1. Yes! Just don’t cook it on too high of a temp or it’ll burn on the outside and be cold on the inside.
