These 2 ingredient bagels are ALL the rage in my Weight Watchers group! I was so excited to try them for myself and I must say they are DELICIOUS, especially for 3 SP each on the Freestyle program (compared to 9-11 points for regular bagels).

Have you started the Weight Watchers Freestyle program yet? If so, I hope you're loving it as much as I am! I love this program so much, because there's no “you can't eat that”… you can eat whatever you want, within moderation, as long as you track it! If you're struggling to stay within your daily points, check out the Zero Point food list.

Read the NOTES and IDEAS below BEFORE beginning this recipe. :) Here are some other ideas for using this delicious 2 ingredient dough:

Chicken Pot Pie
Pop Tarts
Cinnamon Rolls
Bread Bowls
Empanadas

2 Ingredient Bagels

  • 1 cup self-rising flour
  • 1 cup nonfat Greek Yogurt

Preheat oven to 375*.

Mix flour and yogurt, knead together on a floured countertop - dough will be sticky.

Roll out into rectangle (about 8x15). Starting at long side, roll out into a log. Divide evenly into 4 or 6 portions (see NOTES below).

Add seasonings (see below under IDEAS).

OPTIONAL: egg wash tops of bagels.

Bake at 375 for at least 20 minutes.

Some members reported that their bagels took 20 minutes to cook, while others said they took 25-28. You can broil for a few minutes at the end if you want them to be crispy.

IDEAS:

Sweet bagel: add cinnamon and Splenda to the top

Savory bagel: add garlic powder, salt, red pepper flakes, and a sprinkle of parmesan cheese

“Everything” bagel: add dried onion, poppy seeds, sesame seeds, salt, pepper, garlic powder. Get the seasoning below!

NOTES:

If you use the dough to make six bagels, they're only 2 SP each. Four bagels, 3 SP each.

Add baking powder and salt if you are using anything other than self-rising flour. To make self-rising flour from all-purpose or whole wheat flour, mix 1 cup flour, 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder.

If you use wheat flour without the above additions, the bagels will turn out like “file folders”, according to one of the WW group members.

This dough is more like bread dough than the dense bagel dough.

If using gluten-free flour, the dough will be crumbly. You have to knead it for 1 or 2 minutes on a floured counter. Then it will set up.

  1. I have put my email address twice hoping to get emails and cookbook, but so far nothing. Not sure what I’m missing.

    1. Burndy, I will add you manually but you have to check your email and “CONFIRM” your subscription. :) Also check SPAM.

    2. Hi!
I’ve had the same problem about not getting the email to click “confirmed” on. I’ve checked my spam & junk mail folders & nothing is there. I’ve had this problem with other sites as well. Maybe I need to check my security levels?

  2. Thanks so much for such great information! Appreciate it very much! Ellen

  3. Hi, I tried joining your weight watcher group unsuccessfully.

    1. Mary, did you click the link and hit “join”?

  4. Is there anything you can sub the Greek yogurt for?

    1. The greek yogurt is 0 points, which is why we are using it. If you use something else, you’ll add points – at that time you probably could have a regular bagel for the same amount lol

    2. I saw someone use soft tofu and water mixture instead of the yogurt but I’m not sure the ratios.

  5. Thank you , I’m going to try Bob Mills 1 to 1 gluten free with the Bob Mills gluten free oat flour .
1/2 a cup of each then add baking powder and Sal . Will let you know how they turn out ! Thanks again .

  6. Can you post the nutritional value for each bagel please.

    1. I don’t do nutritional value, just points, sorry! You can plug the ingredients into a calculator I’m sure. :)

  7. Love these bagels. You can substitute half cornmeal abd half flour for cornbread. I sometimes add fresh jalapeños and whole kernel corn. Delish.

  8. Can I use GF flour or does it have to specify self rising?

  9. Can non fat regular yogurt be used? I do not like Greek Yogurt

  10. This is really appreciating work. This is just a perfect list of recipes and I just love though. Thanks a ton, Sadie!

  11. I love this recipe! However, while in the oven my bagels are nice and plump but as soon as I take them out they “deflate “ and are super flat! Help!

    1. Are you using self-rising dough? Have you tried making them smaller?

  12. Love these, but I bake them in my air fryer. 3 at a time at 350 for 6-8 minutes per side. I also use an egg wash on them and add a splash of pure vanilla extract to the yogurt. Makes them not sour tasting! If a bit doughy bake a hair longer. Keep well after baking in a Ziplock not refrigerated.
