On Friday, I posted on my fan page that for each “LIKE” I got on my status, I’d do a minute on the treadmill this weekend. I usually post these challenges during the day, and get around 100 likes. I was cool with 50 minutes each day, since my goal is an hour a day anyway (though I haven’t been anywhere near that yet). I was being sneaky, posting late at night, thinking I wouldn’t get as many likes.
Boy, was I wrong!
You guys really pulled through and motivated me, and have pushed me beyond my comfort zone. The deal was that I’d do 1 minute for each “like” that I got by the time I woke up, so the final tally was 201 – though many liked it afterwards, which is awesome!
But I only made 45 minutes yesterday, which I’m disappointed in.
My plan for the day is to clean my bedroom, and then to get back on the treadmill for another 20 minutes or so. I ordered Netflix so I could walk and watch TV, but I have to have it turned WAY up because the treadmill is loud, so I can only do it during the day. So far, Cake Boss has kept me walking for the entire 20 minutes.
This morning, I started reading a book. It seemed to make the time go by even faster. I think the key is finding a book that really interests me, which this one does!
So far, my total is 75 minutes. That means I have 126 minutes to go. I’m not saying I will make it, but I really think I can get close. Rach has to work tomorrow so I can’t be on the treadmill late tonight, so I really need to knock it out sooner rather than later.
I know a few of my friends have accepted the challenge for the 201 minutes this weekend. I wish them the best of luck!!

Tonya - Such a great idea. I could see this even being a motivational tool among personal friends and family, too. I’m afraid my family would be liking so much I’d keel over the first day!
