Week 2 #Cinchspiration Weigh In

I’m participating in a 6 month program with Shaklee, also known as Cinch Inch Loss. I am tracking my progress weekly on my blog and on Facebook and Twitter. My before photos are posted as well. I will be doing an official video within the next week or two, and will be posting progress pictures at least once a month throughout my journey. Check out my Week 1 Weigh In, too.

How I’m doing this week

Honestly, I’m not doing as well as I expected to. I’ve followed the program 100% and haven’t lost a single pound or inch. I am exhausted, I’m crabby, and just hoping this too will pass. Prior to starting the program, I had lost 16 pounds on my own. This may just be a plateau, so I am hopeful that I will bust through it this week.

What my workouts look like

I’m doing a half an hour of cardio followed by a half an hour of strength training most days of the week. I have been more active than I was in the past 10 years! This past weekend I did over 2 hours on the treadmill! :)

My favorite product this week

cafe latte shaklee

The latte shake is delicious. Reminds me of my mocha addiction. :)

Areas to improve

I am not sure what to improve at this point. I’m going to keep drinking as much water as I possibly can, and working out and eating a healthy dinner each day. My sodium intake has looked great compared to past weeks, so I just need to work on keeping my water intake up.

Helpful free tool of the week

I know I’ve mentioned it before, but I really want you all to check out MyFitnessPal.com :) It’s a free calorie and exercise tracker that has helped me lose weight many times. Now I just have to stick with it.

How you can help

I have always been 100% honest with you guys, and I don’t plan to stop now. I love that I’ve been given this amazing opportunity to try out Shaklee’s Cinch products for 6 months, but I feel like I’m totally blowing it. I’ve been depressed this week and I really just need some encouragement. So if you can comment on my posts, send me a message, just whatever… anything will help. I am hoping to show a big weight loss next week, but I can’t do it without your help! I need you to PUSH ME!

Disclaimer: Though I was provided access to Team #Cinchspiration as part of the Cinch program free of charge in exchange for participating, all opinions are still 100% my own.

Rhiana Wackenhuth - I posted on your FB page earlier. You need to be sure that you are getting enough calories for the day. I know how it is to want to lose weight, believe me. In Jan I was nearly 187 lbs and today I am 165. I count my calories and be sure to take in at least 1200 calories minimum. If I lose 400 cals from a workout, I be sure to eat those calories to get back to the 1200 you need to take in. A “healthy” weight for me at 5’7″ is 159 lbs. which will put me under the healthy BMI of 25. My BMI right now is 25.9 Its soooo hard to lose but stick with it. Just be sure to take in enough calories or believe me, you will not lose…just as u said that you did here this week. You are burning calories but not taking enough in. 3500 cals burned should have you down 1 lb. I’d burn no more than 700 cals a day and by weeks end you will have lost 1 lb or more. Cold water to hydrate, warm water to keep your belly full. Its a never ending battle!!

Amanda - Sadie, Must be the 15 pound curse :) LOL I hit 15 pounds lost on my own and plateaued for a month. I worked out 4-5 times per week and didn’t lose a single pound. However, within the past 2 days, I have finally noticed the number start going down again. Keep going, eventually your body will start to respond again.

SlapDashMom - The Cinch program had me set at 1500 calories, which isn’t enough IMO. So this week I’m cranking it up to 2000 (which is what I was at when I was losing weight).

Leila - After having a chit chat with my sister in law last night (who’s in school to become a dietician) I think calorie intakes are too low and that goes for you! We know you can do this! :) You’re a rockstar!

Jen @ Eco-Office Gals - Don’t beat yourself up. If you feel you need to up the calories a bit give it a go each person is different. See if that gets the pounds shedding again. My profile said 1200 and I started using my fitness pal last night and realized how hard 1200 really is Cinch 2x per day and snack I have like 600 to spare on dinner if I had nothing else all day. It was an eye opener! No matter what you’re treating you well!
