This was our second visit to My Daddy’s Cheesecake Bakery & Cafe in St. Louis, but it definitely won’t be our last. Located at 6451 Clayton Road, My Daddy’s Cheesecake Bakery & Cafe is convenient – it’s right by the St. Louis Zoo! My Daddy’s Cheesecake offers dine in, take out, and catering delivery. They have breakfast, lunch/dinner, salads, sandwiches, wraps, desserts, and coffee.

Check out their full menu online.

Since 1987, My Daddy’s Cheesecake has baked award-winning, decadent cheesecake and bakery items. My Daddy’s Cheesecake is the ultimate indulgence.

The atmosphere inside My Daddy’s Cheesecake Bakery & Cafe is nice. Both times we have visited, it’s been clean – and quiet. Very relaxing. When you first walk in, there is a shelf where kids can grab crayons and paper to keep themselves entertained.

Today we tried their Forbidden Fudge cheesecake, as well as the Chocolate Gooey Butter Cake and the Mississippi Mud Baby Cake.

The first thing everyone asks when I mention a bakery is the prices. I would say the prices here are average for the type of establishment it is. I’ve reviewed other local bakeries and cafes and most items are around the same price as My Daddy’s Cheesecake. The Baby Cakes are $2.29, and a good sized portion to cure your Sweet Tooth. The Chocolate Gooey Butter Cake is $2.69 and is a hearty serving, best split between two people.

The cheesecake is $3.69 a slice, which is a bit on the high side for a small slice in my opinion – but it’s so rich there’s no way you would want to eat more than one anyway. :)

I tried out the Mocha Freeze and I must say it is strong. I have just recently started trying coffee flavored drinks, and this one is definitely the strongest I’ve tasted. They don’t skimp on the espresso! If you need a pick me up, this is the drink I’d recommend.

My Daddy’s Cheesecake also has cookies, which are basically just sugar cookies but they are in cute shapes (like ice cream cones, and flowers) and have bright colored icing. For some reason, the kids gravitated towards those both times we were here.

Next time I visit My Daddy’s Cheesecake, I want to try their veggie burger, and a scoop of ice cream! Separately, of course. But the veggie burger looks amazing and it’s only $7.99 for the meal. And the ice cream was less than $2 for a scoop. Also on my list of “must try” foods is their Broccoli Cheese soup. I’ll let you know how it is once I finally get a chance to taste it.

One other thing I liked about My Daddy’s Cheesecake is the kid’s menu. They offer a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, which may sound weird to some, but if you have kids you will know why this is important. Sometimes, that’s just all they want. And being vegetarians, it’s already hard for us to find variety when eating out – so the PB&J is perfect.
