A good night's sleep – something Nell is a champ at – is super important for your nightly beauty routine.
Starting the new year off right…
As you guys know, I've been really sick this week! That means lots of laying in bed and wishing to feel better. A friend recommended that I try to get back to my routine as quickly as possible, basically to tell my body “hey… I'm not sick anymore so stop acting this way!”. I started tonight, and wanted to share the mother daughter beauty routine Jenelle and I have been working on. By “mother daughter beauty routine” I really mean she's showing me what to put on my face and how to do it! ;)
It's a work in progress, as we figure out which products work best for each of our skin types, and as she navigates through awkward teenage acne. I'm not quite old enough for wrinkles yet, and I'm oh-so-fortunate to still get acne (at 31!), so sometimes we can even use the same products.
Neutrogena Hydro Boost Hydrating Serum instantly absorbs to quench skin and deliver better hydration so your skin glows. Living in Arizona, we need all the quenching we can get!
Aveeno Positively Radiant® Hydrating Facial… I use this every week! My skin gets so dry here. It doesn't show up in the pictures because it's clear, but it feels awesome on my skin.
Neutrogena Hydro Boost Hydrating Lip Shine in Vibrant Raspberry plumps lips without being sticky, to make them look smoother.
I am also wearing Neutrogena® Hydro Boost Liquid Makeup 40 Nude 1 oz. It's the perfect shade for my skin.
Clean & Clear Acne Triple Clear Bubble Foam Cleanser fights breakouts by removing pore-clogging oil, treating breakouts, and preventing future breakouts. Bonus: It's gentle enough for all skin types! This is her “Mom, TAKE THE PICTURE!” face.
Nell wears makeup to school probably half of the time. It's not something she feels like she has to do, but if she wakes up early enough she will do it. This can lead to clogged pores if you're not using the right kind of makeup and nightly beauty routine. She's learned this the hard way!
After just a few days of using the Clean & Clear, Nell's face has cleared up a little, without drying out… which is important.
Sapphire has had breakouts for a while so she does a facial cleansing routine with us as well. Gracelynn is almost 12, and just started to get oily skin so we will be adding her to the mother daughter beauty routine starting next week. It's something relaxing for us all to do together, without having to go anywhere or spend a ton of money. Even though I'm sick I was able to get up long enough to hang out with Nell while I laughed through the pain. :)
