Over the past few weeks, the kids and I have been trying a lot of new foods to see what they want to pack in their lunches and what they’d rather pass on. When we tried the Mini New York Style BagelCrisps, we were all blown away at the HUGE amount of flavor packed in such a little crisp chip. We made mini sandwiches with slices of cheese, we tried them with hummus, and even with egg salad as a “dip’. They were very salty and delicious! Because of how salty they are, we opted out of adding salt to the egg salad, to even it out.
It was neat to try them out with different cheeses to see how the flavors complimented each other. We tried Cheddar, Mozzarella, Swiss, and Pepper Jack. Everyone’s favorite? Pepper Jack! The girls love bringing fun snacks like this to school for their lunches.
We also tried the BBQ flavor. Even though I don’t really like BBQ flavor anything, I tried them because the kids said were awesome – and they were right! The flavor is a smoky and sweet but not overwhelming. They are also pretty salty, so we just dipped them in some cream cheese and it was the perfect flavor combination.
When we had our Back to School party last week, we served the New York Style BagelCrisps and all of our guests said they were great. We actually made them into a trail mix because of the broken up pieces of the crisps we had. We added pretzels, M&M’s, and peanuts. It was the perfect combination!
The dip that was the biggest hit with the BagelCrisps was the red garlic hummus we made, but the salsa (above) was a close second.
It’s important to me that a snack is both delicious and at least semi-healthy, so New York Style BagelCrisps are a perfect fit for our family. With only 130 calories, plus 3 grams of Protein and 1 gram of Fiber for 6 full size chips, it’s a great addition to our list of favorite healthy convenience snacks.
