I've been telling you guys about my PSYCHOTIC neighbor for a while now. I called the cops half a dozen times and they made me feel like I was overreacting EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.

Yesterday, I went in front of a judge and got an order of protection. The judge was worried for our safety.

Cops were supposed to take his guns, per the judge's orders, but didn't. They told him to surrender them within 24 hours.

About 2 hours before the 24 hours was up, I heard a bang at my door. Nell ran upstairs, the dogs froze and growled, and I ran towards the door.

By the time I got to the door, I heard another banging noise.

My neighbor shot himself in my front yard.

He is dead.

I'm not crazy.

I will update this later…

  1. I’m so glad you’re safe. I hate that anyone has to go through what you all did. I’m sad for him only a bit but that earlier in his life someone didn’t reach out and help him with the issues he seems to have had. In this instance unfortunately this is the best scenario for y’all to be safe. He had to have been mentally ill to do what he was doing and then to do this. It’s a tragic thing but at least y’all are safe and hopefully can heal in time from the whole ordeal.

  2. Omg! So terribly sorry that you and your family are going through this. So very scary. Thoughts and prayers t o you and your family. Hopefully the worst past is now over.

  3. Terrible. Also terrible for him and any loved ones he may have had that the police didn’t follow the judges’ orders. I suspect they were afraid of him, too. SS
