I got this super genius idea to do one minute on the treadmill for each “like” I got on my Facebook status. Generally speaking, I only get a dozen or so “likes” on things, even on good days, so I figured I was safe to do this challenge.
And, you guys liked my status 132 times!!
I did 30 minutes on the treadmill this morning, and was a little sore, but figured I could do another 30 minutes or so.
I have to say, you guys are awesome!!
.
I am so thankful for the support you all have given me, and continue to give me, on my weight loss journey.
Thus far, I haven’t really posted much about my failures. I’ve tried to stay positive, and motivated, and even though I haven’t lost a lot of weight I have kept going on the track to get healthy.
But…
.
Today I failed.
I only made it 25 minutes. :( Combined with the 30 I did earlier, that makes 55, but still nowhere near the 132 likes that my status got!
I burned 300 calories in the process, so I can’t complain, but I feel like I let you guys down! My legs are sore.. my feet are sore. I’m hoping I can give it another go tomorrow.
Also, I just started a 6 week challenge with my mom, girlfriend, and a few friends. I won’t be weighing in (publicly) for 6 weeks, but will post before/after pictures at that time and I hope there is a difference! :)

Melody - Silly rabbit… Next time you’ll have to do 1 minute for every 5 likes lol! AND 300 calories is nothing to laugh at or be ashamed of…you did FIFTY-FIVE minutes today…that’s pretty damn good in my book!
Melody recently posted..Kids Toys UGH!
SlapDashMom - I had no idea I’d get over 100 likes!! lol I thought MAYBE 20 tops. I definitely will change it up next time.
Anna C. - This is really cute! I was thinking… maybe you should give it your best and then ask for one of your fans to help you with your goal! So if you made 55 minutes, you need how much more? Then ask for folks to pledge the difference! I’m trying to do similar and after reading your post, I wanted to run out and jump on the treadmill! You could even reward them with something. Anyhow- very cute post- loved it!
Heather Weisenfels - I think you should break it up over 3 days or so. That’s a lot if you not use to doing that. It’s better to break it up than to be to sore and not do anything at all the next few days. So I say you didn’t fail anybody and for sure not your self. You are working towards a goal and doing something others don’t/can’t/want!!
It’s great that you are trying and putting it out there to motivate others!
Have fun with it and enjoy the journery to a healthy self…
Wishing you the best,
Heather
SlapDashMom - Aw that’s a great idea!! I will have to figure out how to work that out!
SlapDashMom - Thanks, Heather! :) I go to the gym every day but I always avoid the treadmill like the plague lol. I will keep trying!
