I have a habit of spoiling movies if I give too in-depth of a review, so I will say just a few things this time! :) Hotel Transylvania is safe to take the kids to! My oldest (almost 11 – Nell) absolutely loved it – didn’t take her eyes off the screen even once. My 7 year old, on the other hand, got kind of bored with it. She’s more into pretty, girly stuff rather than the darker stuff, though, so I think that’s why. She wasn’t scared, which is a plus. She gets a little freaked out at the movie theater sometimes because it’s SO LOUD, but this one she was fine with.

Nell’s Review

Hotel Transylvania

I was really excited that Selena Gomez played Mavis! Hotel Transylvania is the place where the world’s monsters get to take a rest from human civilization. The monsters were scared of the humans, so it was their place to feel safe. Along the way they made friends with other monsters and there was a love story mixed in, too. Hotel Transylvania is a movie I recommend for kids my age and even younger, too, because they will like it a lot.

Welcome to Hotel Transylvania, Dracula’s lavish five-stake resort, where monsters and their families can live it up, free to be the monsters they are without humans to bother them. On one special weekend, Dracula has invited some of his best friends – Frankenstein and his wife, the Mummy, the Invisible Man, the Werewolf family, and more – to celebrate his beloved daughter Mavis’s 118th birthday. For Drac, catering to all of these legendary monsters is no problem – but everything could change for the overprotective dad when one ordinary guy stumbles on the hotel and takes a shine to Mavis.

Becky Ryan-Willis - I think this sounds like a great movie. I LOVE how you had Nell give her own review from her perspective. 1)involves your child in the writing 2) a person that has a child her age knows how she felt about it which is so helpful !
