Visiting the Discovery Center in Springfield
The Discovery Center in Springfield is great because it’s only a 4 hour drive from St. Louis, it’s affordable, and it’s educational but fun! It’s one of those places that kids really want to go to, and they don’t even realize they’re learning something. I think the Discovery Center is great for all ages – bright lights to keep even the littlest ones entertained, and interesting facts to keep everyone intrigued enough to stick around for hours. We didn’t even realize it was almost time for them to close when we were playing and having fun! They had to kick us out! ;)
Current Discovery Center Exhibits: May 22nd – September 9, 2012
Looking through the eyes of history, science, and lived experience, RACE: Are We So Different? explores similarities and differences among people and reveals the reality – and unreality – of race. The story behind RACE: Are We So Different? is complex and may challenge how you think about race and human variation, about the differences among people and the similarities that unite us all. This exhibit is included in Discovery Center admission.
Admission to Discovery center
Admission is $9 for adults, $7 for kids.
