Walk 5 minutes, jog 3 minutes. Alternate.

I didn’t make a post yesterday because I went for my weigh in and my trainer told me I couldn’t continue doing the C25K. :( She said to stay off the treadmill completely for at least a week, and then when I get back on it I am only allowed to do a brisk walk.

I have a 5K coming up in August that I have to prepare for, so I’m going to have to keep working at it, but I have bad knees and I don’t want to damage them further. I also have to avoid the bike, so my choices are VERY limited. I am using the elliptical but I hate it. :(

If you are following along with this program, I’m going to continue posting about it and I am going to do my time on the elliptical instead. It’s not the same thing, at all, but I refuse to give up on yet another program just because of my stupid knees.

All of my Couch to 5K posts are tagged with C25K so if you click on that, you will see them all. At the end of the journey I will be linking to each in the posts but for now that is the easiest way to find them.

How are you doing on your Couch to 5K journey? Do you have any 5Ks planned? Remember to train outside at least once a week if you do! Running on a treadmill is 100 times easier than hitting the pavement.
