This is the post you've all been waiting for! Yes, the GhostBed is AMAZING. I received one for review and am going to tell you alllll about it.
As you know, we've been working on lots of projects around the house. The most famous one – besides the Tim Burton inspired staircase – is our bedroom, because of our paper bag flooring. The tutorial we used – loosely – was this one. So far, we haven't had problems except where the subfloor was raised a little, you can see creases and they're annoying because they're sticking up. Rach is working on a full tutorial for you guys but it's very similar to that one so if you're just dying to get started on your flooring, use that one. :)
The project that took the longest (besides the flooring) was the stenciling. It wasn't difficult, just tedious. Rach did a great job and I absolutely LOVE how it turned out. She only stenciled one wall, the others are just one color. We don't have a lot of art put up yet but when we do I will make sure I post it on Facebook.
Another big part of our room reveal is our new bed. I wanted a King size bed so all the dogs could sleep with us without me getting kicked out of bed! I'm a big girl and this bed is perfect.
The GhostBed Unboxing
Should I buy the GhostBed?
Obviously I can't make the decision to buy – or not to buy – for you, but I can tell you why you should buy one.
The GhostBed has an awesome, high-tech 11″ Gel Memory Foam Mattress. If you've slept on Memory Foam you know how amazing it is.
Compared to other mattresses, it's still affordable. Their beds start at under $500, with FREE shipping. You don't need a box springs or foundation either, necessarily. I saw some pictures on their site where the mattress was just on the floor. Alternatively, you could get a cheap platform bed frame if you don't have one already.
They have nearly 1,000 reviews and are still at 4.5 stars. That says a LOT. Because I'm reviewing this mattress, some might question whether the mattress is really as great as I say it is. Don't take my word for it! Check out their site and read the reviews from happy, paying customers.
They offer a 101 Night Sleep Trial, and also have a 20 year guarantee.
If you aren't sure, try one of their pillows. Fall in love, and you'll know you need a GhostBed.
By the way, you can see our paper bag floors above! Rach said the foundation was extremely simple to put together, and she only needed an extra pair of hands a few times to hold it up at first.
Do you REALLY love it? Like, really, really love it?
I wasn't sure if this bed was amazing or if I was just happy to have gotten rid of our nasty old mattress… until we visited San Diego. The first night sleeping in the hotel bed, I expected to feel awesome and refreshed like I do every time I sleep in a hotel (I can literally sleep anywhere, totally not picky). However, I woke up the next morning and was extremely sore. I couldn't figure out why, because we hadn't done much the day before.
The next day, I was sore again.
Got back home, slept in my new GhostBed, and woke up feeling like a million bucks. I don't know why this bed is so special, but it's the best one I've ever slept on. Not just owned, but ever slept on. I think all of the hotels need to use Ghost Beds. ;)
